If you enjoy the vivid humming of a timeless city as well as the rippling of a small rivulet in the evening - whether you want to go shopping in the narrow alleys of Regensburg or cycling and hiking in the spectacular valleys of Danube and Altmühl, Schneckenbach is exactely where you want to spend your holidays.

Our little village is situated 14 kilometers (10 miles) southwest of Regensburg, halfway between the capital of the upper-palatine region of Bavaria and the lower bavarian city of Kelheim with its famous sites like the water gap of the river Danube or the „Befreiungshalle“. Both cities can be reached within 10-15 minutes.

Our framehouse sits at the end of a dead end road, romantically circled by forests and fields. The „Frauenforst“ a large wood extending as far as to the city of Kelheim is just 500 meters away and invites you to have a stroll on one of its many pathways.

Our home unites the amenities of living near a buzzing city and enjoying the absolute peace of nature.

The balcony of our holiday home offers you the opportunity to let your glances drift over the wide landscapes, a picturesque view of the village of Viehhausen, and even the pinnacles of the famous Regensburg cathedral.

the holiday home:

The second floor of our house has just recently been transformed into this beautiful 84 qm of holiday home. The large, well-lit hall leads to two bedrooms, the bathroom and the cozy kitchen. In one of the bedrooms a ladder leads to a small gallery that provides an additional bed for a child.

The kitchen is fully-equipped: a cooker a dishwasher and a refridgerator (including freezing compartment) are at your disposal. Furthermore a washing machine is provided for. Of course there will also be free W-LAN access and a flat-screen TV awaiting you.

The balcony can be accessed via the kitchen and offers a fantastic view to the southeast where you can see the city of Regensburg in the distance.

You are also heartly invited to enjoy the evening sun on our porch or to meander our yard with its old apple trees.
